Description
Photography of purple cone flower within a background texture of muted Dusty Miller plant. Original photographs have been merged and digitally manipulated into one art piece. If you look closely you can see another cone flower in budding stage of growth. Background is muted to give the flower full brilliance and center stage of photo. The cone flower or Echinacea purpurea is native to the Eastern U.S. and oddly enough it's generic Greek name echino means sea urchin because of it's spiny central disks. This image also available in black and white version and original color version.
