Description
The General is his name in the garden, why? you ask, because he is the parent plant to all other purple cone flowers there. He is the grand father to all others who thrive. He is the largest bloom each year and the strongest seed bearing plant as well. Thus the name The General. Echinacea purpurea is his botanical name a bit formal for this country style flower. This version has been digitally enhanced into black and white and from the angle it was shot it seems that the General has been caged in by the soft slender stalks of the surrounding gladiola plants. Totally organic and fresh from the garden.
