In this image you will see the statue of a sailor looking out to sea with binoculars awaiting approaching ships. The sailor representing the service branches which was to become the Navy and Marines. This statue serves as one of four branches represented at the Confederate memorial Monument at the State Capitol of Alabama. Original photograph was taken on March 11th of 2014 by Alabama photographer Lesa Fine.
