Description
Black and white photograph of Lila with her King out together in the morning for a springtime swim.
Canada geese mate for life. They are kind to each other and will always greet each other when they return from a swim or patrol of their territory. The male will protect his mate and territory relentlessly especially during nesting season. Both will put themselves in the way of danger to protect each other. And will do so more agressively when goslings are concerned. During nesting it is the males responsibility to patrol the territory, the female will only protect the eggs, nesting area or the goslins themselves. That is her territory as a mother. T
hey are very loyal, having an extremly high family bond and value to their family. When the goslins are born the male will be less agressive with other geese, more tolerant with trespassers and more relaxed.
