Description
A beautiful dragonfly sits at the top of a broken blackberry branch. Seemingly this fast flying insect is staring eye to eye with the photographer. Bright colorful yellows and orange dominate the color pallet of this image. Excellent staging art for a child's room or any space needing a bright pop of color. Wonderful lobby, commercial, residential and waiting room art. Anyone enjoying the insect world would enjoy this image as a greeting or perhaps a code mug to sip the mornings brew out of.
Dragonflies are very fast and can hover and fly in reverse. Little pockets built into their wings help catch air and aid them with flight. Their wings have little pockets to catch air that help them to fly. Fossils indicate that at one time the dragonfly had a wingspan of 2 to 2 and a half foot in length. They use their legs to act as a scoop and grabber to catch their prey. Their big buggy eyes can see 360 degrees, so it's like they really have about 30,000 eyes watching at all times.
This version has been digitally enhanced and has a textured background representing the dragonflies preferred environment, the water.
